Our new Building What’s Next webpage brings together articles, questions for conversations, and trusted resources designed to help congregations navigate seasons of change with hope, wisdom, and faithful stewardship.
The page is organized around four parts of the journey:
- Recognize – paying attention to changes in the congregation, community, ministry, and resources.
- Pray & Listen – creating space for prayer, Scripture, honest conversation, and listening to one another and the community.
- Discern – exploring possibilities, gathering practical information, and considering which paths may best support ministry.
- Moving Forward – taking the next step once a congregation has enough clarity to begin acting.
This is not a checklist. It’s a carefully crafted resource. Some churches may be just beginning to ask questions, while others may already be exploring possibilities or preparing to make decisions.
Wherever your congregation finds itself, the page presents questions for use by boards, elders, ministry teams, or the congregation as a whole, along with articles and resources from ODF and other trusted ministry partners.
