As August approaches, families across Oklahoma start preparing for a new school year — buying supplies, adjusting routines and getting ready for a season of learning and growth. For many of our congregations, this time of year offers renewed opportunities to bless and support children, youth and the communities they call home.
At the Oklahoma Disciples Foundation, we believe back-to-school is more than a season — it’s a calling. It’s a reminder that our faith is lived out in backpacks, school supplies, shoes and classrooms. The seeds we plant today in our young people shape the church and the world of tomorrow.
That’s why we continue to support grant programs and legacy gifts that invest in school-age children — from scholarships and summer camps to after-school ministries, backpack programs and youth leadership development. These initiatives help equip young people not only with academic tools but also with spiritual grounding and a deep sense of belonging in God’s family.
Your support of the Foundation enables us to say “yes” to ministries supporting youth with compassion, consistency and Christ’s love. As students return to school next month, join us in helping nurture their minds, spirits and future.
Your donations directly impact the ability to be the hands and feet of Christ. You can help by making a donation to one of our many programs that benefit students in our community by clicking here!
