As we approach the close of another remarkable year, we pause to reflect on the generosity, trust, and shared purpose that continue to shape the mission of the Oklahoma Disciples Foundation. This has been a year defined by growth — not only in assets and funds, but in relationships, partnerships, and the expanding circle of people who believe in the power of long‑term, sustainable ministry.
Strengthening Our Foundation for the Future
This year brought extraordinary momentum to our stewardship efforts:
- We now manage over $45 million in total assets, a testament to decades of faithful giving and careful financial leadership.
- The foundation is home to 110 endowments, 68 custodial funds, and 4 donor‑advised or field‑of‑interest funds, each one created to sustain ministry and mission across Oklahoma.
- We celebrated the establishment of three new endowments this year, with three additional endowments currently in development — a clear sign of donor confidence and a growing commitment to legacy giving.
- Four new custodial funds were added this year, expanding the support we provide to congregations and partner ministries.
These funds are not simply numbers on a page. They are living expressions of generosity that continue to bear fruit year after year.
Impact That Reaches Across Generations
The long‑term impact of these gifts is profound:
- Over their lifetime, our endowments have distributed more than $7.6 million to the ministries they were created to support.
- This year, we surpassed $904,000 in total grant funds awarded, strengthening congregations, supporting community programs, and empowering ministries across the region.
Every dollar distributed represents a story — a congregation strengthened, a ministry sustained, a life touched.
Generosity Beyond Dollars
This year, we were also blessed by in‑kind gifts that enriched our daily work:
- Furniture donations — both this year and in previous years — have allowed us to maintain a fully furnished office, including a beautiful new conference table and chairs that now host board meetings, donor conversations, and collaborative planning.
- Several donors have loaned or gifted artwork that adorns our walls, adding beauty, inspiration, and a sense of shared history to our space.
- We celebrated our 60th anniversary as a foundation and honored Kyle Maxwell’s retirement, marking a milestone year filled with gratitude, reflection, and community support.
These gifts and memories remind us that generosity takes many forms, each one contributing to the mission in meaningful ways.
Looking Ahead with Hope and Anticipation
As we look toward 2026, we do so with excitement and purpose:
- We look forward to working alongside our new Regional Minister, Rev. Michael Davison, as we deepen partnerships and expand support for ministries across Oklahoma.
- We are committed to serving new and emerging ministries, ensuring that innovative, community‑centered work continues to flourish.
- We anticipate crossing the $1 million milestone in total grant funds distributed, a powerful marker of the impact our donors make possible.
- And we look forward to welcoming new members into our legacy society, the Chalice Society, as more individuals choose to leave a lasting imprint on the ministries they love.
Thank You for Making This Work Possible
